February Favorites

Another month has passed us by! In fairness, it was the shortest month of the year, so its whizzing by seems totally acceptable. This month was mostly categorized for me by snow days. We spent more days stuck in our snow-covered shack than out exploring the tundra that is central Montana right now. I’ve been super down with staying inside, and I feel that my favorites reflect that. Here’s what I have been loving these days.

i-tonya

I, Tonya

One of our trips outside of the house this month was to see I, Tonya. I loved it. It’s funny, it’s messed up, and it actually happened. If you’re not familiar with the Harding-Kerrigan story, don’t read it, just go to the movie. You can research after.

Journalling

This month has been a big self-reflection month for me. I’ve been journaling more and putting more things on paper. This has helped my mind declutter and to help me destress after work.

Biscuit Nose Wiggle.gif

Biscuit

Biscuit, my three-year-old boxer, has also been a favorite this month. She’s been a delight all month long, and I love her more than ever. This month, it seems like she’s been extra good, and extra cuddly, and we’ve had a load of fun this month. It helps that she loves the snow. She also wakes me up every morning by licking my face.

abh-kristen-gloss

ABH Lipgloss in Kristen

This was from my Sephora Play last month and I’ve been digging on it. It’s a little dark for me on it’s own but is gorgeous over lipstick. I’ve been wearing it almost every day. I think I’ll be looking into some more of these in full size. Ulta is also having 5X the points on ABH right now…so…yeah.

MUFE Ultra HD Foundation

I've talked about this one more times than I'd care to count. I love MUFE foundations. This one has been my favorite because taking brand photos has been a big part of the last month and this makes skin look flawless on camera. It's medium coverage and sits on my dry skin really well.

noras-brushes

Offset Brushes

I picked up these brushes from a brand called Nora’s Brushes on Amazon and they have been the only face brushes I’ve used all month. I’m still finagling around with the eye brushes, but if you want a way to slather on foundation every morning as fast as possible so you can get out the door…these are for you.

Not Your Mothers Kinky Moves Curl Cream

I won’t talk about this too much because I just did a whole post on my hair. It has been the best thing I’ve used on my hair in the past few months. It’s great and gives me touchable definition.

gel nails

Gel Nails

I’ve been getting my nails done professionally for about six months, every three weeks. I went from having soft, brittle, easily damaged nails to having strong nails that grow almost three times as long. This is seriously due to two things – trusting the same girl with my nails for months at a time, and switching to cured gel polish. I might talk more about this at a later date, but it’s been awesome. They are gorgeous and last me the whole three weeks! Also no drying time. So that’s cool.

Sawbones.jpeg

Sawbones Podcast

I teach, but I have an hour every day to be in my room getting things done without students. This time is mostly for grading and lesson planning, but I find that I work way better with some company! Lately, that’s been Sawbones. It’s G-ish rated, with very little profanity and talks about trendy or terrible medical info. It’s hosted by a real doctor and her comedian husband. Each episode is also a manageable 30-ish minutes.

Now it’s your turn! What are your favorite things this month? Let me know in the comments!
