BA STAR Stardust Review

Hi guys!

Today I have a review of BA Star’s Stardust. This is a loose mineral eyeshadow that is used to create a shimmer effect across the eye.
BA STAR says that they’re #1 in Performance Makeup. I’m neither a cheerleader nor a dancer, so I was interested in possible ways to make what looks really showy into something wearable for every day.
I’ll be honest, when I first tried this out, I thought it was awful. Similar to in my last review of the holographic glitter, you apply the glue to get the product to stick to the skin. I tried to do it the same way and it just wasn’t working. It went on patchy and looked kind of like dragon skin (cool, but not really what I was going for) and then it would flake off.

I decided to give it one more shot and I am so happy that I did. The trick with putting this on is to take the glue and dab a bit into the cap of the tub of glitter, and then mix it with the glitter before applying. This makes it go on much more like an eyeshadow should. It layers really easily, so if you want a more subtle look, that’s definitely possible, or you can pack it on for a night out.

Woops. Missed a spot with the eyeliner today.
I like this both on its own, and with other colours of eyeshadow. I think that it would be a great highlight, on its own, or mixed with another colour for some extra shimmer. Right now it’s available in nine different shades. I think that the deep plum would be great for fall.
In the interest of full disclosure, these samples were provided to me free of charge. I don’t receive any compensation though, and if you liked what you saw, you can get 50% off with the code BBDUST on the BA Star website, found here. There’s also free shipping on orders over $55.
